meteorology, oceanography, geography or a related field.
Candidates are expected to have strong computational skills,
excitement to work on a new research subject, a good publication
record, a high level of independence, curiosity and creativity,
and an interest in working in an international and
interdisciplinary research environment. The successful candidate
will work with Prof. Christian Franzke and Prof. Axel Timmermann
to determine how greenhouse warming will influence the spread of
vector-borne diseases, such as dengue, yellow fever, malaria or
tick-borne encephalitis. By combining large-ensemble earth
system model projections with empirical vector habitat models,
the project will provide new estimates of emergence times and
future risks.</font></div>
