 non-tenure track 12-month position will support the Biological 
Engineering teaching program in the Biological and Agricultural 
Engineering Department at the University of Arkansas. The successful 
candidate will teach and provide support for selected courses, serve as a
 liaison with the First-Year Engineering Program, advise undergraduates 
and assist with processes for ABET accreditation of the undergraduate 
program. The successful candidate’s teaching, research, extension and/or
 industry experience should complement and enhance the existing 
biological engineering curriculum and department strengths in 
sustainable water, energy and food systems.<br><br>RESPONSIBILITIES:<br>*Teach
 up to six undergraduate and/or graduate Biological Engineering courses 
per year, depending on annual assignment and other duties required<br>*Advise undergraduate students, including honors thesis students<br>*Assist with assigned Biological Engineering design courses, including mentoring senior design teams<br>*Assist with class field-trips and maintenance of teaching labs and equipment<br>*Facilitate undergraduate involvement in faculty research programs and/or internships<br>*Serve
 as a liaison with the First-Year Engineering Program and the College of
 Engineering to support departmental recruiting efforts<br>*Assist with ABET documentation requirements for the undergraduate program<br><br>DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:<br>*Ability to work in inter‐ and trans‐disciplinary teams<br>*Experience
 with computer software and modeling relevant to Biological Engineering 
coursework such as a programming language, Excel, AutoCAD, ArcGIS,
