<p class="MsoNormal">Our team takes apart catastrophe models and puts them back together again to assess the insurance industry’s biggest hazards – hurricane, earthquake, wildfire, flood, cyber attack, terrorism, and more.

<p class="MsoNormal">We are looking for a candidate to join our growing group working on incorporating climate change into our view of wildfire, flood, and hurricane risk. We also support our Office of Sustainability in transition risk modeling, to capture
how a changing energy mix and physical risks may impact the economy. Our ideal candidate would bring demonstrated experience communicating science to a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred technical skills include working with large
databases, writing a bit of code, and experience in GIS.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">This position is open to researchers with a master’s or Ph.D. in the geosciences, atmospheric science, hydrology, wildfire research, meteorology, or other closely related field (graduation date this spring is ok too).<o:p></o:p></p>
