    We are hiring for a continuing Assistant Professor of Instruction in
    Environmental Sciences at Northwestern University. <br>

      <p>The Northwestern campus is on the west shore of Lake Michigan,
        in Evanston, Illinois, immediatley north of the great city of
        Chicago. We are served by Chicago O'Hare that affords
        exceptional global connectivity.  We are located in the
        Technology Institute in a recently built wing that is rated as
        fully accessible. <br>
      </p>
      <p>The 6 courses a year in our Quarter system is equivalent to 4
        courses on a semester system, with only 2 courses at a time. 
        Some courses like GIS Level 1 may be taught twice a year and
        therefore reduce the course development time. </p>
      <p>We are sincerely looking for a person who brings powerful
        dimensions in Environmental Sciences - that may be earth
        systems, environmental health, ecology, environmental
        equity/justice, sustainability, urban environments,
        food/agricultural systems, and more.  <br>

      <p>Northwestern University invites applications for an Assistant
        Professor of Instruction in the Environmental Science Program.
        We seek an open-field environmental scientist to coordinate and
        teach Geographical Information Systems courses with lab
        components, and a selection of R, python, remote sensing, and
        advanced seminars courses on topics of expertise. We are
        especially interested in candidates with expertise in
        inter-disciplinary sub-fields of environmental science spanning
        the natural and social sciences, and who have dimensions of
        conservation, management, sustainability, or environmental
        equity in their expertise. Responsibilities include: teaching
        six quarter-length courses annually; program building; and
        collaborating with Environmental Science students and faculty.
        This is a benefits-eligible, full-time, teaching-track
        appointment starting September 1, 2022. Ph.D. is required by the
        start of the appointment. Preference will be given to candidates
        who have demonstrated experience working with diverse student
        communities. <br>
