<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">We are looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York studying the effect of dry extremes on crop yields simulated by an earth system model, starting March 1,
2022 or sooner. The project will involve simulations from the CESM2 Large Ensemble to identify dry extremes and determine crop responses, in addition to observations. It is a collaboration with Dr. Danica Lombardozzi at the National Center for Atmospheric
Research, an expert on modeling crop and plant responses to environmental change, and is supported in part by Hatch funds from the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture.</span><span style="font-family:"-webkit-standard",serif;color:black"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">The Postdoctoral Researcher will report to Professor Angie Pendergrass. The Postdoctoral Researcher’s primary responsibilities will be to lead the analysis for the project and interpret the findings in
the context of existing scientific literature, and disseminate them via publications and conference presentations, with guidance and input from Professor Pendergrass and Dr. Lombardozzi. Required skills include analysis and visualization of large spatio-temporal
datasets with software like Python, Matlab, R, or another similar language and writing scientific publications. Previous experience analyzing Earth system model and/or gridded observational data products is also desirable. The Postdoctoral Researcher will
work in collaboration with Professor Pendergrass, Dr. Lombardozzi and Undergraduate Researchers on the project, and engage collegially with all group members. They will need to balance taking initiative and developing their own ideas with working with an experienced
