<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt">The Integrated Science and Technology Program (<span class="caps">ISAT</span>) in the
<a href="https://www.jmu.edu/sis/index.shtml">School of Integrated Sciences</a> at James Madison University (<span class="caps">JMU</span>) invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor with a focus on System Dynamics modeling. Exceptional candidates
will be considered for appointment at the associate professor rank. <span class="caps">
ISAT</span> is a unique <span class="caps">ABET</span>-accredited, multidisciplinary, applied science program with over 300 majors.
<span class="caps">ISAT</span> prepares graduates with strong problem-solving skills through a curriculum that integrates technology, natural science, social science, and humanities.
<span class="caps">ISAT</span> was designed at its founding to support women and underrepresented groups achieve success in
<span class="caps">STEM</span>. <span class="caps">ISAT</span> emphasizes the ability to understand and address complex problems from social and technical perspectives using holistic problem-solving approaches, of which system dynamics modeling is a key component.
Interdisciplinary areas of focus within <span class="caps">ISAT</span> include Applied Biotechnology, Applied Computing, Energy, Environment and Sustainability, Industrial and Manufacturing Systems, and the Social Context of Science. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12.0pt">Candidates must have a strong interest in teaching undergraduates, an ability to contribute to the

<p class="MsoNormal">The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in system dynamics modeling in a variety of required and elective courses and work with students on capstone projects. The candidate is expected to have some subject matter expertise
in one or more of the ISAT specialty areas and be willing to learn about other areas. Candidates will also embrace excellence in undergraduate teaching and research within the context of ISAT’s interdisciplinary culture. <o:p></o:p></p>

degree and substantial experience in the field are also encouraged to apply. <o:p></o:p></p>
