and management of forest and grassland ecosystems; blue carbon; agricultural practices; enhanced silicate weathering; and ocean alkalinity enhancement. We encourage applicants from disciplines as diverse as ecology, plant physiology, soil science, geochemistry,
petrology, sedimentology, earth and biogeochemical system modeling, and physical, chemical, and biological oceanography. The search is a partnership between the Center, the Yale School of the Environment, and the Faculty of Arts & Sciences, primarily the Departments
of Earth & Planetary Sciences and Ecology & Evolutionary Biology. The locus of appointments will be in a School or Department (based on a mutual fit between applicant experience and school/departmental interests), but new faculty will play a critical role
in the development and success of the YCNCC.
