 a graduate student to participate with an NSF-supported geoscience education project that seeks to broaden participation in the geosciences by racially minoritized high-school students. The graduate student will assist with two phases:</span><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;background:white">
 (1) a Philadelphia public high school-based, inquiry-driven research experience over fall and spring semester which will involve co-mentoring by Villanova geoscience faculty, to investigate water, soil and air contamination within the high school students’
 local community, and (2) the Villanova Environmental Geochemistry Summer Institute, an immersive, on-campus, four-week long summer research experience where high school students collaborate with Villanova undergraduate geoscience majors on existing, local

 project with extensive peer mentoring which will culminate in a M.S. degree in Environmental Science. In particular,
