Winthrop University invites applicants for a tenure track position in Environmental Science/Studies at the rank of Assistant Professor to join the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies beginning in August 2022. We seek candidates with a PhD in Environmental
Science, Environmental Studies, Geography, or a closely related discipline; ABD candidates may be considered and hired at the rank of Instructor until PhD is completed. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to teaching excellence, interdisciplinary
scholarship, and the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and faculty from diverse ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Teaching expectations include a variety of courses in environmental studies, geographic information systems
