experiment. Additional automated CO2 flux systems will also be available to address nested research questions within the SPRUCE study. These questions will also include assessment of peatmoss productivity. Peatmosses are keystones species within peatlands
that store some 30% of the Earth’s soil carbon. Results from SPRUCE show that warming is influencing peatmoss productivity, changing the structure of the associated microbiome, and reducing N2 fixation.</span></i><i><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Lucida Sans Unicode",sans-serif"><o:p></o:p></span></i></p>
