of Geography at Simon Fraser University (British Columbia, Canada) is recruiting<a name="_Hlk77284774"> one Postdoctoral Researcher and one Graduate Student (PhD or MSc)
</a>to work on remote sensing for precision agriculture on a project funded by industry partners.

<span lang="EN-CA" style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:106%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">Research topics include: 1) Mapping soil moisture and carbon content using drone-based images (e.g., hyperspectral, LiDAR, and thermal) and Internet of Things;
2) Evaluating crop growth status using drone and satellite images, weather information, and agricultural machinery data; and 3) Utilizing remote sensing products for supporting farming practices. The position will be based at the SFU Burnaby Campus. Multiple
field sites are in southern British Columbia and southern Saskatchewan. Working closely with industry partners on field data collection and analysis is anticipated.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

including agriculture, ecology, or soil science. Applicants with expertise in multiple disciplines are highly encouraged to apply. The postdoctoral position is for one year (January to December 2022), and an extension is possible depending on funding availability
