Work Environment<br>
</span></b><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">While performing the duties of this 12-month position, the employee must have the ability to perform physical labor commonly encountered in aquatic field studies. The employee is regularly required
 to stand in the field or laboratory environment, and walk on uneven and rough terrain as well as paved and unpaved trails, often in wild, remote, and off-grid field locations. The employee must be comfortable around the water and riding in various watercraft.
 The employee must be able to handle and manipulate objects, tools, or controls. The employee must regularly lift and/or move materials weighing more than 50 pounds over distances that can range up to 150 to 300 feet. The employee must be able to launch and
 land a boat from/onto a trailer independently, and be able to drive and back-up a boat trailer.<br>

</span><span style="line-height:115%;font-family:"Times New Roman",serif">The office environment is quiet with exposure to computer screens. The employee will have frequent contact with staff, students, faculty, college administration, and trustees — either
 in person, by telephone, or electronically. Office work may require sitting for prolonged periods of time, and extensive use of a computer keyboard.
