functional, all teaching assistants receive proper training, and all 
samples are curated and accessible. The individual in this position will
 take the lead on departmental field and laboratory safety needs, 
establishing safety protocols, leading training of all users on 
departmental equipment, and ensuring the field and laboratory safety 
protocols are followed. This position is responsible for arranging for 
maintenance and upkeep of departmental vans and training for van
