Independently identifying, evaluating, and determining equipment needs for maintenance and expansion of the existing Rainier Lahar Detection System Network.</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: rgb(33, 33, 33); background-color: white;">
Plans, organizes, and monitors station installations, maintenance, and network performance and responds to network outages. Monitors real-time data acquisition and ensures proper station documentation.</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: rgb(33, 33, 33); background-color: white;">
Participates in data processing and analysis, including compiling data from multiple instruments and instrument types, checking data for anomalous values and errors, and preparing derived data products.</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: rgb(33, 33, 33); background-color: white;">
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the real-time Mount Rainier Lahar Detection (MRLD) system. The detection system includes remote, autonomously-powered monitoring stations with one or more geophysical sensors, including seismometers, infrasound sensors,
deformation monitoring equipment (GPS), tripwires and/or cameras.</li><li style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; color: rgb(33, 33, 33); background-color: white;">
Monitors operational status of the acquisition of continuously recording telemetered seismic and deformation monitoring networks on Cascade volcanoes, ensuring uninterrupted flow of data.</li></ul>
