The goal of the project is to create a deposit model including quantitative information relevant for the later beneficiation of the ores (i.e., mineralogy, mineral chemistry, grain sizes, textures), in addition to standard bulk geochemical information. If you are interested in working in the raw materials field in the future, this project will provide you with a unique, highly desirable skill-set, and will make you an attractive candidate for any position related to minerals exploration and mining. The project is industry-funded, and a close collaboration with the company currently holding the exploration licence for the deposit will be required.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoPlainText><span lang=EN-US><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoPlainText><span lang=EN-US>Candidates should ideally be recent graduates in economic geology, mineralogy, geomathematics or a closely related field with an interest in rock/ore characterization, data analysis and modelling. The position will be available from the 1<sup>st</sup> of August 2021 for three years – the standard timeframe for a PhD in Germany. A competitive salary according to the German standards for PhD financing will be paid (see ad for details, link below).
