in the Department of Geosciences is
accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow. The fellow will
work closely
with Dr. Jeremy Rugenstein, an assistant professor in the
Department of
Geosciences. </span><br>
<br>
<span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;">The postdoctoral
fellow will be responsible for
exploring new research directions in paleoclimate, the geological
carbon cycle,
and/or connections between tectonics, erosion, weathering, and
climate. The
fellow will engage in data acquisition, interpretation, and
reporting in
conference presentations and peer-reviewed journals. Further, the
fellow will
actively mentor graduate students and support grant-writing
efforts. A </span><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height:
107%;">willingness to work collaboratively
with faculty and to mentor students from a wide range of
disciplines, cultures
and academic backgrounds is essential. </span><br>

<span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 107%;">Please note that
the desired start date (Sept. 1) is quite
flexible. The position is anticipated to last 18 months with the
possibility
for an extension. </span><br>
