geologic processes. Research related tasks associated with this position include working with and collection of geologic samples, advanced sample preparation for isotopic and elemental analysis, and building long-lasting scientific collaborations across the
Department of Geosciences and the University Park campus. Candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the development of laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry analysis techniques, including: quadrupole mass spectrometer
analysis, U-Pb analysis of trace mineral phases, laser ablation sampling methods, and laser ablation split stream isotopic and chemical analysis (LASS). The successful candidate will also be an expert in the fields of igneous and metamorphic petrology and
