impacts individual midlatitude storms and how these changes subsequently affect the large-scale atmospheric circulation, using climate model experiments as well as statistical analyses of observational and reanalysis datasets. </span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:black">The
successful applicant will be involved in all aspects of this research, while primarily responsible for designing, conducting, and analyzing high-resolution atmospheric general circulation model simulations to diagnose the atmospheric response to SST anomalies
driven by the KOE front displacements and their feedbacks on the oceanic mixed layer.
