<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">We are seeking a full-time scientist in the Carbon Cycle and Ecosystems group in the Earth Science Section at JPL. In this role, you will be responsible for contribution to the
OCO-2 and OCO-3 project leadership as well as conducting collaborative research in carbon cycle science. In this role, you will develop into a leader of the project teams including calibration, algorithm, validation and mission planning. You will work in a
dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment addressing cross-cutting challenges in developing project data products, fostering of expansion of the science user community, and effective communications of project achievements internally and externally to JPL.
You will contribute to cross-discipline teams in the definition of new science priorities and in the development of new mission concepts needed to advance them. You will be expected to publish scientific findings in top-tiered peer-reviewed scientific journals
as well as presenting results in relevant science team meetings, workshops and conferences.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Advanced knowledge in carbon cycle science, and advanced understanding of the outstanding questions in the field with typically a minimum of
two years of related experience.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Proven knowledge of carbon dioxide measurement techniques and a detailed knowledge of the broader community of measurement and analysis scientists.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Advanced knowledge in one or more of the following related fields: space-based remote sensing of atmospheric greenhouse gases and solar induced
fluorescence, carbon cycle modeling, inversion techniques, field measurements to support carbon cycle science.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Extensive understanding and wide application of principles, theories, concepts and techniques in using large satellite-based Earth science data
sets.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Advanced knowledge of applicable industry and/or academic practices and standards in carbon cycle modeling, greenhouse gas measurements and trace
gas measurements from space, airborne and ground sites, including in urban/megacity environments.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Excellent oral (including public speaking) and written communication skills.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Advanced knowledge of NASA policies and procedures, and government regulations.<o:p></o:p></span></li><li class="MsoNormal" style="mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Ability to develop and/or deliver project/program presentations and to confer with project/program contributors to ensure communication vehicle
