<p class="BodyText-nospaceafter">The Integrated Forecast Systems Section works on the development and testing needed to deliver new and efficient versions of operational forecast systems. The forecast systems are implemented and run operationally by other departments
at ECMWF; the Integrated Forecast Systems Section is the interface between the Research Department and the Forecast, Copernicus and Computing Departments. Operational forecast systems are built using the Integrated Forecast System (IFS) and include configurations
