<div class="">The project will focus on understanding the mechanisms controlling the development of extreme storms in the midlatitudes, with particular focus on the North Atlantic and Europe. You will apply a storm-tracking algorithm to observational data and
climate model outputs to investigate these mechanisms in the present climate, and assess how they affect the frequency and intensity of storms in simulated warmer climates.<br class="">
