Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UCLA is seeking highly
motivated postdoctoral researchers to join the Forest Ecosystems & Global
Change group. We use remote sensing, field observations, and models to
understand patterns and processes of forest ecosystem structure and function
and the responses of these systems to land use and climate change. We also
emphasize research tropics that engage directly with food security and
conservation research and efforts in forested landscapes.</span></p>

the Ordway lab has funding to support one postdoctoral researcher on
tropical forest ecology and remote sensing research. We are particularly
interested in researchers with experience working with imaging
spectroscopy (hyperspectral) and LiDAR remote sensing data. The initial
appointment is for 1 year and can be extended for, at least, an additional
1-2 years given satisfactory progress. The researcher will be a part of an
international collaborative team working on a project funded by a new NASA
Biodiversity grant.</span></li>

• Strong record of productive and creative research demonstrated by publication
in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at scientific conferences<br>
• Ability to work as a member of a highly collaborative team in
