</b>Successful applicants should be skilled in one of two areas of research: 1) physical modeling of extreme events (such as heat waves, tropical cyclones, or coastal high water) in the context of applications to impacts on individuals and social systems, or
2) econometric or other quantitative methods applied to assessment of human migration and other sensitivities and responses to climate change. This research effort aims to combine diverse methods and lines of evidence to assess the probability of climate change

of research: 1) Conservation of declining migratory birds that utilize the East Asian-Australasian Flyway. 2) Socio-economic analysis of the wild-animal trade, with a focus on understanding the drivers of the trade in understudied species (excluding elephants,
tigers, etc.). A doctorate in economics is desirable, as is experience doing research related to biodiversity conservation. 3) Analysis of natural climate solutions that can be employed in Southeast Asia to simultaneously mitigate global climate change and
