<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:13.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">We invite applications for a postdoctoral research position to study glaciers in High Mountain Asia. The selected candidate will conduct glacier modeling, analyze
glacier dynamics, evaluate remote sensing datasets (optical/radar/ICESat) and develop tools for integrating remote sensing data and model outputs. The selected candidate will be involved in ongoing projects that include glacier mapping, glacier lake outburst
flood, glacier modeling, debris thickness, etc. This position provides an opportunity to grow your skillset and also allows you to bring new skills and unique methods to study the impact of climate change on these glaciers. Expertise in machine learning techniques
and coding experience is not required but strongly preferred. It is important for scientists to use their expertise for societal benefits. Thus, the candidate is also expected to support ongoing efforts in using geospatial techniques for societal impact analysis,
such as "Rights for Water," primarily related to glacier meltwater or other human rights violations.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
