 invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in the area of Environmental Geophysics, with a focus on the history of the solid Earth, including the evolution of the cryosphere. The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will

 the position as described by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. Specific areas of expertise must include one or more of the following: glaciology; periglacial environments and
 permafrost; groundwater (characterization of flow quantity and quality); energy (reservoir petrophysics and subsurface characterization); contaminated site investigation, restoration and remediation; climate (paleoclimatology) dynamics; and eustasy. The proposed

 We have access to both land-based and marine geophysical equipment (seismic, electrical and magnetic), and we seek a tenure stream faculty to implement geophysics teaching and research within our programs. Experience with shallow geophysics, both in the lab
 and field, and with the management, processing and analysis of large geophysical databases pertaining to ice fields and permafrost, subsurface and surface environments would be a real asset for students and their ability to become certified with the </span><a href="https://www.pgo.ca/"><span style="font-size:10.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">Professional
