<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">The Division Director  is responsible for managing the Atmospheric Sciences and Global Change (ASGC) Division with the overarching objectives of achieving outstanding scientific impact, maintaining a
 diverse and world-class workforce, ensuring safe operations, and working within established budgets and operating metrics.  The Division Director is responsible for stewarding PNNL’s atmospheric science and climate change science core capability and working
 with sector managers and other strategic partners across the laboratory to identify and meet sponsor needs and develop capability plans that support PNNL mission and business strategies.  The Division Director directly supervises three Group Leads, a Battelle
 Fellow, and two division-level support staff and is responsible for overseeing hiring, career development, and line management of all division staff, including limited-term employees and interns, as well as ensuring effective oversight for guest researchers,
 visitors, and other non-employees. The Division Director also manages and provides oversight for all division operations including space and equipment management, overhead budgets, safety, security, and compliance with all contractual, legal, and regulatory
 requirements. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">This position reports to the Associate Laboratory Director for the Earth and Biological Sciences Directorate and has responsibility for approximately 180 staff, including limited term employees and interns,
 spread across three groups. One group is the Joint Global Change Research Institute at the University of Maryland, College Park. Another group focuses on Earth system measurements and stewards a large amount of equipment located in multiple facilities including
 PNNL’s Atmospheric Measurement Laboratory and a hangar located at the Port of Pasco and operated by DOE’s Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Program’s Aerial Facility. The third group contains a critical mass of PNNL’s earth system modeling capabilities.
  The Division Director is also expected to maintain a general working knowledge of division capabilities and activities, oversee division communications, represent ASGC inside and outside PNNL, and interact with stakeholders across the laboratory. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
