Conducts assessments of human health risks and ecological risks associated with exposures to toxic air pollutants to support regulatory development and non-regulatory efforts;

Develops, updates, and improves air toxics risk assessment methods, models, and tools including the Human Exposure Model and associated add-ons, the Total Risk Integrated Method, and the Hazardous Air Pollutant Exposure Model. Conducting this work requires
the application of air quality models (i.e., AERMOD) and software tools (i.e., Microsoft Excel and Access, GIS, Python and R);

Evaluates and interprets toxicological information; works with the Office of Research and Development and other offices to advance methods to develop dose-response values, participates in developing dose-response values; manages and maintains toxicological

Advises on risk management policy and other science-policy issues related to human health and ecological risk assessment, health effects regarding air toxics, and the overall air toxics program;

Provides air toxics risk assessment expertise, training, outreach, and risk communication to other EPA offices, state and local air agencies, tribes, industry, environmental organizations, non-governmental organizations, and the public.<o:p></o:p></li></ul>
<p class="MsoNormal">The successful candidate will serve as a risk assessor in the National Air Toxics Program and will be responsible for: designing and conducting risk assessments for exposures to air toxics; developing and improving risk assessment tools
and methods for air toxics exposure and risk assessment; providing expert scientific, technical, and policy advice to EPA management; and collaborating with other EPA offices and key partners including other EPA-offices, state and local air agencies, tribes,
environmental groups, industry, and the public. <o:p></o:p></p>
