The successful candidate will work on a <span class=caps>NASA</span> funded project that aims to understand the interactions between the Arctic sea ice and the atmosphere. The work will involve the use of <span class=caps>NASA</span> observational and reanalysis products and the development and use of novel causal inference methods to infer the causal relationships between moisture intrusion, Arctic temperature, clouds and aerosols, surface radiative and turbulent fluxes, and Arctic sea ice area and thickness on daily to weekly timescales.
