<p>The School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering
(ENAC) is strengthening the synergies between the Civil and the
Environmental Engineering Institutes. The Civil Engineering Institute
invites applications for a faculty position in<strong> Sustainable Civil Engineering</strong>.
We are seeking talented people who will be able to provide research
contributions in a wide spectrum of areas including, fundamental
decision-making models and methods, assessing the effects of natural and
environmental hazards on infrastructure assets, infrastructure ageing,
green construction technologies and materials with emphasis on
multi-scale validation, demountable infrastructure assets and risk
assessment, sustainable building and infrastructure monitoring and
management to maximize their net contribution to environmental and
social needs. We expect the above areas to rely heavily on evolving
fundamental knowledge along with methodologial development of
multidisciplinary research underpinning environmental policies and
management practices that embrace sustainability.<br>In this context, we
invite applications for a faculty position at the Tenure Track
Assistant Professor level in Civil Engineering.<br><br>The successful
candidate is expected to develop an innovative and internationally
recognized research program leading to an outstanding record of
scientific accomplishments. As a faculty member of the Civil Engineering
Section, the successful candidate is expected to excel in undergraduate
and graduate teaching of core and multidisciplinary subjects of civil
and environmental engineering. The candidate is expected to implement a
teaching program dealing with the science and technology of topics
related to innovation in sustainable civil engineering.<br><br>The
