Dear colleagues:
The Ice Core & Quaternary Geochemistry lab at Oregon State University is
searching for a new post-doc to investigate abrupt carbon cycle dynamics
(Principal Investigators: Christo Buizert and Ed Brook).
The 2-year project aims to investigate abrupt carbon cycle dynamics
during the Dansgaard-Oeschger and Heinrich climate cycles using
high-precision CO2 measurements in ice core samples at unprecedented
temporal resolution (decadal), and to investigate its link to abrupt
changes in the southern hemisphere westerly winds as seen in multi-proxy
reconstructions from Antarctic-wide ice core records.
The full position description and instructions for applying can be found
here:
https://gradschool.oregonstate.edu/postdocs/open-positions#abrupt-carbon
or here: http://icecore.ceoas.oregonstate.edu/
The application deadline is May 1 2020 and we seek to have someone start
in Fall 2020 (exact date negotiable). For more information contact
Christo Buizert (buizertc at oregonstate.edu).
Best regards, Christo
