The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies
<https://www.uccs.edu/geography/>  (GES) at the University of Colorado
Colorado Springs <https://www.uccs.edu/experience/about-uccs>  (UCCS)
invites applications for an Instructor position, to start in August 2020.
The colleague in this position will be expected to teach the following
courses: Climate & Vegetation (GES1000), Landforms & Soils (GES1010), World
Regional Geography (1980), Introduction to Human Geography (GES1990). The
teaching load is 24 credit hours per year. The GES department has collegial
and productive faculty, approximately 230 undergraduate majors and 20 MA
students. The GES department is equipped with a suite of geospatial software

UCCS is one of four campuses in the  <https://www.cu.edu/> University of
Colorado system and is home to over 10,500 undergraduate and 1,900 graduate
students.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

*	Master's degree in Geography or related discipline
*	Has taught four classes as instructor of record at the university
level (by the start date for the position) 
*	All requested application material submitted

Preferred qualifications:

*	Demonstrated integration of principles of equity, diversity and
inclusiveness in teaching materials and sample syllabi
*	Instructor of record or teaching assistant for the following courses
or their equivalent:  Climate & Vegetation (GES1000), Landforms & Soils
(GES1010), World Regional Geography (1980), Introduction to Human Geography
(GES1990)
*	Experience advising students in undergraduate education
