Visiting Assistant Professor of Climate Change and Oceanography

 The Department of Geology and Environmental Geosciences and the Environmental Programs at Lafayette College invite applications for a full-time sabbatical leave replacement for academic year 2020-2021 from candidates with expertise in oceanography and paleoclimatology.  The successful applicant will teach a 3-3 load including an introductory-level course on climate change through Earth’s history, two intermediate-level environmental science/studies courses (one exploring the issue of anthropogenic climate change and one elective in the candidate’s area of expertise), an intermediate-level oceanography (with laboratory) course, and introductory-level geology laboratories.  Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD and teaching experience; however, we will consider well-qualified ABD applicants.
