Software Developer for Satellite Operations



The NRL-MRY Geo-located Information Processing System (GeoIPS) program, GeoIPS, is a python-based satellite data processing system developed to support the next generation of environmental satellite sensors. The advanced processing algorithms are designed to be modular and portable to a variety of environmental datasets such as geostationary and low earth orbit sensors, numerical weather prediction model output, and in-situ observations. The developer will be involved from the start in GeoIPS re-design and development.

Environmental Data Scientist and Environmental Data Assimilation Specialist


GDIT at NRL Marine Meteorology Division located in Monterey, CA is seeking qualified scientists in the field of environmental data assimilation and of data science, operations research, and decision support. The NRL Marine Meteorology Division's mission is to better understand the atmosphere, the coupled environment, and their mission impacts so that they can be better simulated, better predicted, and help the warfighter make better decisions. The candidates will work with the Meteorological Applications Development and the Atmospheric Dynamics and Prediction Branches at the Division.
