[ES_JOBS_NET] Visiting Instructor of GIS at URichmond

The Department of Geography and the Environment at the University of
Richmond invites applications for a full-time nine month appointment as
visiting instructor of GIS and interim director of the department’s spatial
analysis lab beginning in August 2020. This is a non-tenure track
appointment, annually renewable for up to two years, contingent upon
performance, budget, and continued need.

We seek candidates capable of excellent teaching at all levels in
geospatial analysis. The teaching load is five courses per year. The
teaching assignments for the 2020-21 academic year will be two sections of
Foundations of Geospatial Analysis per semester with an additional advanced
GIS course in the spring term. Management of the spatial analysis lab
includes mentoring and managing interns, facilitating student research, and
general oversight of the lab. PhD preferred though the search committee
will consider candidates with an MA or MS in Geography, Geosciences, or a
related field.
