The College of Idaho invites applications to fill a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor position for the 2020-2021 academic year.  This is a 9-month contract which includes teaching 21 credits over two semesters and a 3-week January term.


The Department seeks a broadly educated Earth System scientist who will contribute to an interdisciplinary program in Environmental Studies.  The individual will teach lower-division courses (including laboratory) in Physical Geology and Environmental Science, an introductory interdisciplinary course in Environmental Studies, an upper-division non-laboratory course in the area of Earth System science, and an introductory GIS laboratory.



Excellent teaching and mentoring of students are the highest priorities of the College.  The successful candidate will be an active scholar with a commitment to working closely with undergraduate students in a liberal arts college setting.
