Boise State University invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the
rank of ASSISTANT or ASSOCIATE Professor within the Department of Biological
Sciences.

We invite applications for a tenure track position in population ecology, at
the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. We seek candidates who offer
a broad theoretical background in ecology and apply cutting edge technology
and quantitative skills to understand population ecology. We are
particularly interested in individuals who work on animal systems.
Candidates should have a strong interest in collaborative research,
including applying theory and skills to a variety of organisms.

 

The successful candidate will develop an externally-funded research program,
teach a graduate course focused on quantitative methods in population
ecology and teach one or more courses in our undergraduate biology
curriculum. Candidates will also mentor undergraduate, Master's and PhD
students in research, and play a key role in our PhD program in Ecology,
Evolution and Behavior.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

*	PhD and postdoctoral or equivalent experience in the field related
to the position of interest
*	Evidence of scholarly creativity and independence as demonstrated by
extramural funding and a strong record of publication (as described in the
research statement and curriculum vitae)
*	Evidence of teaching and/or mentoring through the use of current
pedagogical techniques (as demonstrated in the teaching statement)
*	Evidence of the commitment to create a diverse and inclusive working
environment (as demonstrated in the diversity statement)

Biological Sciences is at the forefront of Boise State University's mission

closely with colleagues in the Departments of Geosciences and Anthropology,
the Human-Environment Systems Initiative, and community partners in

ecology-related research programs include: patterns and processes of global
change, raptor biology, animal behavior, invasive species, plant and animal
physiology, conservation, and species interactions. Our partners

human behavior, paleoecology, fire ecology, agent-based modeling, and land
