Job Description:

GDIT provides air quality modeling support under two US Environmental Protection Agency contracts.  The GDIT Air Quality Modeling program performs development, testing, implementation, and evaluation of emissions, meteorological, and air quality models.


Required Qualifications:

  *   BS or MS in computer science, meteorology, or other scientific/mathematical field + 2 yrs experience
  *   Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  *   Experience working in a Linux operating system environment
  *   Working knowledge of Unix scripting languages (e.g. bash, csh, sed, awk, perl)

Other Qualifications Desired:

  *   Prior experience with public domain emissions and air quality models such as SMOKE, CMAQ, CAMx and AERMOD
  *   Working knowledge of python, FORTRAN, database software MySQL
  *   Working knowledge of SAS, R
  *   Experience with GIS systems ArcGIS, QGIS and/or Google Earth
