NISER works under the funding of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India and represents a new generation of national institutes which focus on 'research oriented higher education'. SEPS is a one-of-its-kind school in the country which incorporates research in Earth, atmosphere, ocean and planetary science under its aegis. Both fundamental and collaborative research is motivated in the school. As such we solicit applications which would address fundamental and applied questions in fields of societal relevance like weather and climate and also research in exo-planets.
