The Department of Geosciences invites applications for an open rank tenure track faculty member with broad teaching and research interests in Solid Earth Geosciences. Our ideal future colleague will be engaged in teaching at all levels of the curriculum including our core classes Dynamic Earth and Earth Materials. Advanced courses are centered around petrology, structural geology and tectonics depending on the research program of the candidate. We are seeking a colleague with a strong background in field geology and a commitment to teaching in the field. The ideal candidate will be able to develop an externally funded research portfolio that provides rich research experiences for Wellesley undergraduates.
Wellesley is a highly selective liberal arts college for women located 12 miles west of Boston. Wellesley is dedicated to the goal of building a diverse and inclusive academic community.
