[ES_JOBS_NET] Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Earth System Physics at UNCW

The Department of Physics and Physical Oceanography at the University of North Carolina Wilmington is looking to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.

The search will be in the broad area of Earth System Physics, including oceanographic, atmospheric, and cryospheric science. We seek candidates who will complement the department’s existing research strengths in physical oceanography, cryospheric physics, climate physics, and complex systems. We seek candidates who use theory, computer modeling, observation, and/or experimentation. Candidates should have a commitment to teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels and the potential for innovation and leadership in research.

A complete application must include the following components which can be found in the applicant document section of the posting:
1. Cover Letter
2. Curriculum Vita
3. Teaching Philosophy (one to two page description of teaching plans)
4. Research Summary (one to two page description each of research)

Letters of reference will only be solicited for those under serious consideration.

Priority consideration will be given to applications received by December 1, 2019, but applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
