The Laboratory Coordinator position oversees and coordinates the effective scheduling, maintenance, and operations of the Geosciences laboratories. The coordinator supports field and lab courses by preparing equipment and supplies, and supports undergraduate research by maintaining and training students in the safe use of instruments and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications
* Experience diagnosing and repairing laboratory equipment.
* Demonstrated ability to work safely with potentially hazardous chemicals and equipment.
* Possess a state-issued driver license in good standing with the ability to be insured by the College's insurance carrier.
* Experience solving technical problems with minimal supervision.
* Introductory-level knowledge of chemistry.
* Familiarity with common rocks and minerals.
* Demonstrated ability to organize and track equipment.

Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field.
* Experience working with XRD, XRF, SEM, carbon coater, thin section preparation equipment, rock crushing equipment, petrographic microscopes.
* Experience with maintaining and repairing Brunton Pocket Transits.
* Experience with geologic and GIS software.
