Are you interested in satellite sounding algorithms, machine learning, or
numerical modeling with an emphasis on next-generation satellites?

Then check out these job announcements to work with the NASA Short-term
Prediction Research and Transition (SPoRT) center through the University of
Alabama in Huntsville. NASA SPoRT is located in Huntsville, AL, and part
of Marshall Space Flight Center: https://weather.msfc.nasa.gov/sport/.
SPoRT is co-located with the University of Alabama in Huntsville
Atmospheric Sciences Department/Earth System Science Center and the
Huntsville National Weather Service Forecast Office. SPoRT is an exciting
project with the goal of transitioning observations and research
capabilities to end users. We're looking to expand our team with three
research positions for recent PhD graduates or a Masters with experience.

The primary purpose of this position is to conduct novel satellite remote
sensing research on current and future NASA and NOAA hyperspectral infrared
and microwave sounders, including algorithm improvements leading to the
transition and assessment of new products into an operational
decision-making environment.
