I'm pleased to advertise grad student opportunities in the new Johnson Earth History Group at Iowa State University. We have at least one slot available, starting in Fall 2020, to work on the how life, the atmosphere, the oceans, and the solid Earth have interacted over deep time. Specific project opportunities include whole Earth nitrogen isotope modeling, geochronology and geochemistry of Archean and Snowball Earth glaciations, and the isotopic history of seawater.
Please see https://www.benwjohnson.com/ for more details, and feel free to email me with more questions: bwj at iastate.edu
This position will be supported with a TA line, and Iowa State offers great benefits and support, and is a very affordable place to live with lots of college town fun to have!
