The Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES) at the University of Colorado Boulder is seeking a PhD Research Scientist to conduct laboratory studies in kinetics, photochemistry, and heterogeneous processes related to atmospheric chemistry. The opportunity is located in the Chemical Sciences Division (CSD) of the NOAA Earth System Research Laboratory in Boulder, Colorado.

The Research Scientist will perform laboratory experiments and contribute to ongoing research efforts within CSD on research topics related to stratospheric ozone, climate change, and tropospheric air quality using a suite of laboratory instrumentation. They will operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation and develop improved measurement capabilities and will also be responsible for data analysis and preparation of results for publication.
