*Position Summary:*
University of Alaska Fairbanks Institute of Northern Engineering is seeking
a motivated and energetic postdoctoral scholar to work on an NSF funded
project to develop an Airborne Electromagnetic (AEM)-snow radar system
capable of being integrated into long-range Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation,
past research experience, and practical skills.
*Duties:*
Work on an interdisciplinary team to design, build, and test an AEM-snow
radar system capable of being integrated into long-range Unmanned Aerial
Systems (UAS).
University of Alaska Fairbanks, department of Electrical and Computer
Engineering at the Institute of Northern Engineering is seeking a
motivated and energetic postdoctoral scholar to work on an NSF-funded
project to develop an Airborne Electromagnetic (AEM)-snow radar system.
The required qualification is a PhD degree in Computer Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, and/or Remote Sensing or a related field. The
successful candidate will have a strong background in the area of radar
systems and signal processing, and strong experience in designing embedded
systems. The candidate must have experience publishing in peer reviewed
journals and be eager to conduct multidisciplinary research. Should have
ability to pay close attention to detail, work in an organized manner,
follow instructions and work without close supervision.
The responsibilities include: design, analysis, building, and testing of an
AEM-snow radar system and its components.
There may be additional duties assigned as it relates to this position. The
position is open immediately and the initial appointment is for one year
with the possibility of renewal, depending on funding availability and
satisfactory performance of the candidate.
