Responsibilities
As a Natural Resource Specialist within the Division of Resources Services, Branch of Assessment and Monitoring, you will assist BLM in conducting natural resources assessments and special projects, responsible for complex geospatial analyses of habitat and BLM resources and their interaction. Your duties will include:
1. Formulate, plan, and implement national high profile strategies, consistent with all applicable laws, regulations, and policy, and feasible for analysis, that assess regional habitat and ecological conditions, and recommend regional strategies addressing conservation, restoration, and adaptation of critical natural resource values.
2. Implement strategies to evaluate landscape or regional natural resource values such as native fish, wildlife, or plants of conservation concern, terrestrial ecosystem functions and services, aquatic ecosystem functions and services, and ecosystem-dependent aesthetic, recreation and ecotourism values.

4. Serve as the Division's first point of contact for questions, concerns, and overall implementation of applicable fish, wildlife, and plant conservation objectives from land use plans with other landscape level efforts between affected offices.
