Hello,

The Atmospheric Sciences and Global Change Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is seeking an early-career scientist position:

309034 Earth Scientist, Warm Boundary Layer Processes Translator<https://careers.pnnl.gov/psc/hrmsx/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/HRS_HRAM_FL.HRS_CG_SEARCH_FL.GBL?Page=HRS_APP_JBPST&PostingSeq=1&SiteId=1&FOCUS=Applicant&JobOpeningId=309034>

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory is recruiting a scientist who is interested in leading the development of science products for the Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) program (www.arm.gov<http://www.arm.gov/>). ARM is a Department of Energy scientific user facility whose mission is to make atmospheric measurements of radiation, clouds, aerosols, and precipitation to improve process understanding for the purpose of improving simulations in earth system models. The successful candidate will work with a team of software developers to integrate scientific algorithms into routine operational science products. You will also serve as a science liaison with the atmospheric community to understand scientific needs and help set priorities for ARM.

This position will focus on science products that will help improve understanding of warm low cloud and boundary layer processes using primarily passive radiometric and lidar techniques, but may expand to other types of atmospheric processes as the needs of the community evolve. Opportunity for research in these areas is also possible depending on the candidates interests.

The successful candidate will be expected to prepare technical reports, publish results regarding algorithms and datasets in peer-reviewed literature, and interact and present results at conferences and programmatic meetings.

For more information please visit https://www.pnnl.gov/atmospheric/jobs.asp and look for job 309034.

Best regards,

Brad Isom
