*Two Assistant Professor of Environmental Science positions:*
*Position Title*: Geoscience: Assistant Professor of Environmental
Science (coastal wetland ecology)
*Department*: School of Geoscience
*Responsibilities*: This is a tenure-track faculty position in
Environmental Science focusing on coastal wetland ecology. The
successful applicant must be enthusiastic about teaching undergraduate
and graduate courses (such as introductory and advanced coastal science,
coastal restoration methods, wetland soils, and soil and plant
relationships, GIS) and must be capable of building a strong,
externally-funded research program. The position involves mentoring
students at the undergraduate and graduate levels and engagement in
departmental and university service. The applicant must demonstrate
institutional citizenship through active engagement at the department,
college, university, community, and professional levels. The purpose of
this hire is to build strength in the areas of coastal wetland ecology
and restoration.
