Job Description:


Science Systems and Applications, Inc. seeks temporary employees to serve as
Technical Advisors for the DEVELOP National Program. Technical expertise and
science advising will be provided in support of projects partnered with
Sistema de la Integración Centroamericana (SICA; Central American
Integration System) during the summer and fall 2019 terms. These
opportunities are best suited for individuals with a strong understanding of
the DEVELOP National Program – its’ participant research teams, project
requirements, partner interactions, and experience working with Latin
American governments. The time requirement is estimated to average 3 hours
per week for a maximum of 25 weeks.


Required Qualifications:


§  PhD in the Geosciences or Life Sciences with at least 3 years of project
activity experience

§  Experience working with and managing relationships with multiple
international partners and international, state, and local governments

§  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

§  Demonstrated ability to work with diverse team members or in
multidiscipline collaborations

§  Professional working proficiency in Spanish

§  US Citizenship is required


Desired Qualifications:


§  Experience working with the NASA DEVELOP Program in positions of
increased responsibility 

§  Experience in applied Earth science project coordination among peers and
management in both face-to-face and virtual environments

§  Effective communication and interpersonal skills

§  Team-oriented and an aptitude for coordination
