Postdoc opportunity on AQ/GHG modeling and data analysis at University of Arizona
We have an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Hydrology and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Arizona. The successful candidate will contribute to a unique research opportunity related to substantiating key synergies between air quality (AQ) and anthropogenic CO2 and CH4 monitoring from space using constraints from CO and NO2.
You are expected to perform spatiotemporal statistical analysis of multiple satellite data on CO, NO2, CO2, and CH4, along with available aircraft and ground-based measurements of these species. You will also conduct an ensemble of short-term and long-term retrospective chemistry transport model (CTM) simulations using the Community Atmosphere Model with chemistry (CAM-Chem) and help in the ensemble-based multi-species Bayesian synthesis inversion activities of the research group.
